Dear Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD,

Thank you so much for your continued support of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD. We appreciate the efforts you have made to have your child adhere to health and safety measures while attending school at our campuses. As we enter into the third week of on-campus instruction, we are seeing the effectiveness of those efforts. To maintain our success keeping campuses safe, it is critical that we stay vigilant with our health and safety practices.

We wanted to make you aware that beginning Nov. 2, we will be welcoming all students who wish to return to campus back for on-campus learning, while still offering the option of remote learning. Additionally at the middle and high school level, students will receive more face-to-face instruction, which will involve physical transitions between class periods.

To help us prepare for these changes, we need middle and high school families to complete the most recent  no later than Oct. 28. Families with students in elementary school should communicate with their campus’ main office if they plan to switch learning models beginning Nov. 2. This will help your campus administrators create the best possible learning environment that will work for all students.

In keeping with my commitment to work closely with campus staff to remain responsive and adaptive, my leadership team and I have been meeting with our teacher and principal advisory groups weekly and will continue to do so throughout the school year. From these conversations we have gained valuable insights to better serve our students, families and staff. For example, this year we have reduced the number of student assessments. I look forward to continuing to connect with our dedicated campus representatives to ensure our plans meet the evolving needs of our students, families and staff.

Muchas gracias por su apoyo continuo al Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD. Apreciamos los esfuerzos que han hecho para que sus hijos se adhieran a las medidas de salud y seguridad mientras asisten a la escuela en nuestros planteles. Al entrar en la tercera semana de instrucción en el plantel estamos viendo la eficacia de esos esfuerzos. Para conservar nuestro éxito en mantener los planteles seguros, es muy importante que nos mantengamos atentos a nuestras prácticas de salud y seguridad.

Queríamos hacerle saber que, a partir del 2 de noviembre, daremos la bienvenida a todos los estudiantes que deseen regresar a los planteles para el aprendizaje presencial, mientras todavía ofreceremos la opción de aprendizaje remoto. Además, en las escuelas secundarias y preparatorias, los estudiantes recibirán más instrucción presencial, lo que implicará transiciones físicas entre períodos de clase.

Para ayudarnos a prepararnos para estos cambios, necesitamos que las familias de secundaria y preparatoria llenen a más tardar el 28 de octubre. Las familias con estudiantes en las escuelas primarias deben comunicarse con la oficina principal de su plantel si van a cambiar de modo de aprendizaje a partir del 2 de noviembre. Esto ayudará a los administradores de su escuela a crear el mejor ambiente de aprendizaje posible que sea efectivo para todos los estudiantes.

De acuerdo con mi compromiso de trabajar de cerca para que el personal de los planteles permanezca sensible y adaptable, mi equipo de liderazgo y yo nos hemos estado reuniendo con nuestros grupos de asesoramiento de maestros y directores semanalmente y continuaremos haciéndolo durante todo el ciclo escolar. A partir de estas conversaciones hemos obtenido información valiosa para servir mejor a nuestros estudiantes, las familias y el personal. Por ejemplo, este año hemos reducido el número de evaluaciones de los estudiantes. Espero continuar conectándome con nuestros dedicados representantes de los planteles y asegurar que nuestros planes cumplan con las necesidades cambiantes de nuestros estudiantes, las familias y el personal.
