GT Referral and Screening Process
All campuses in Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ ISD offer Gifted and Talented screening in grades K-12 based on referrals submitted through an online form that will open August 19, 2025.
If you are interested in seeing whether your child demonstrates a need for Gifted and Talented Services, please check back on this website on August 19 for the Referral Link.
When a referral is submitted for a child, their parent or caregiver will be prompted to complete a Parent/Caregiver GT Observation Form. Referrals are received by the Campus GT Advocate, who facilitates the implementation of GT assessment and services at the campus level.

Referral Window for SY2025-26: August 19-October 17
Students may be identified in one or more of the following areas:
- GT STEM (science and mathematics),
- GT Humanities (language arts and social studies),
- Talent Explore STEM (science and mathematics), or
- Talent Explore Humanities (language arts and social studies).
Qualitative and quantitative measures are collected. Qualitative measures include a Parent.Caregiver Observation Form and Teacher Observation Forms. Campus GT Advocates may also request a student work sample. The quantitative measure(s) will include an ability test.
Los padres y cuidadores pueden proporcionar el nombre de su niño al representante de Dotados y Talentosos (GT, por sus siglas en inglés) de su escuela para que sea considerado en el Programa de Dotados y Talentosos. El representante GT de la escuela podrá darle información más detallada.

Se recopilan medidas cualitativas y cuantitativas. Las medidas cualitativas incluyen un Formulario de Observación de Padres y Tutores y Formularios de Observación de Maestros. Los Defensores de GT del campus también pueden solicitar una muestra del trabajo del estudiante. Las medidas cuantitativas incluirán una prueba de capacidad.
