Support for Families

Helping Your Child with Their Mental Health

It can be difficult to know what to do when your child is struggling. You don't need to wait until a concern becomes a crisis to ask for help.

Consider reaching out if you notice changes in your child's:

  • Mood or emotional well-being
  • Attendance or desire to attend school
  • Sleep or daily routines
  • Relationships with family or friends
  • Ability to concentrate or complete schoolwork
  • Behavior or ability to manage emotions
  • Interest in activities they previously enjoyed

Your child's school counselor can help you talk through what you're seeing and determine what support may be helpful.

You do not need to determine the right level of care on your own. Contact your student's school counselor, and we can help you identify the appropriate next step.
