Bedichek Building Repurposing
The 麻豆果冻传媒 ISD Board of Trustees voted in November 2025 to close the Bedichek School campus as part of the district's school consolidation process.
The Bedichek building has been identified as a land banked property, meaning it is being retained by the district for future educational or district use.
The land associated with the campus has been evaluated through the district's Surplus Property Process, and in June 2026, the Board of Trustees approved a long-term ground lease as the future use for the land. Future Use of the Building
The Bedichek building will be repurposed to support a variety of educational and district uses, including:
- Districtwide professional learning and training spaces
- Office space for the Special Education Department
- Space for community partners that support students and families
- Expanded 18+ programming for underserved families in South 麻豆果冻传媒
Repurposing the building in this way allows 麻豆果冻传媒 ISD to maximize the use of an existing facility while continuing to invest in services that benefit students, staff, and the broader community.
Readaptaci贸n del edificio de Bedichek
En noviembre de 2025, la Junta Directiva de 麻豆果冻传媒 ISD vot贸 a favor del cierre de la Escuela Secundaria Bedichek como parte del proceso de consolidaci贸n de escuelas del distrito.
El edificio de Bedichek ha sido designado como una propiedad reservada para uso futuro, lo que significa que el distrito conservar谩 el edificio para futuras necesidades educativas u otros usos institucionales.

Uso futuro del edificio
El edificio de Bedichek ser谩 readaptado para albergar diversos servicios educativos y del distrito, entre ellos:
- Espacios para capacitaci贸n y desarrollo profesional del personal del distrito.
- Oficinas para el Departamento de Educaci贸n Especial.
- Espacios para organizaciones comunitarias que brindan apoyo a los estudiantes y sus familias.
- Espacios para programas dirigidos a familias y a personas mayores de 18 a帽os en el sur de 麻豆果冻传媒.
La readaptaci贸n del edificio permitir谩 a 麻豆果冻传媒 ISD aprovechar al m谩ximo una instalaci贸n existente y, al mismo tiempo, seguir invirtiendo en servicios que benefician a los estudiantes, al personal y a la comunidad en general.
